Event News:

1.           TACKY SWEATER CHRISTMAS PARTY: Friday, Dec. 5, 6:30 pm, LOCATION Clues emailed each day this week – join for holiday fun with friends. We’ll have food, Tacky gift exchange, Tacky sweater contest, and decorate sugar cookies and make cards for shut-ins. Bring your friends!

2.           FREE LUNCH: Sunday, Dec. 7, noon, in fellowship hall – join us after worship and bible study for home-made cookin’ and great fellowship. Please invite a friend to church this Sunday.

3.           GRADUATE RECOGNITION SUNDAY: This Sunday, Dec. 7 in all worship services – if you are graduating this December, please let me know so we can recognize you in worship.

4.           GALVESTON MISSION TRIP: January 11-16, 2009 – Join us in helping our neighbors rebuild after Ike. Respond to this email or sign up on Sunday mornings. Investment $100

5.           MAY MISSION TRIP CORRECTED DATES: May 17-22 – help us love and serve our neighbors affected by Hurricane Ike.

6.           NEIGHBOR NITES: Resumes Sunday, February 1 – let’s be great neighbors! Come to Georgie Fitch Park every Sunday night to eat with our neighbors, play with the children, tell Bible stories, talk with parents, be the presence of Christ. MAP TO PARK

7.           SMALL GROUPS: we hope you’ll find an authentic community to be a part of. FIND OUT MORE…

8.           12th@12 LUNCH: Every Thursday, 12 noon, 12th Man in MSC – hang out for lunch with us, bring or buy your lunch, bring a friend and Ty buys their lunch. We sit on the left side as you enter from the main hall (post office side).

9.           FAMILY PROMISE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: December 28 – January 3 - our church is hosting the homeless of Bryan/College Station four weeks out of the year. We need your help to make this happen. You can contribute in various ways: overnight host, prepare meals, setup/take down, plan activities. Please contact Sue Palmore to help.

1.           Galveston Mission Trip – please pray for our team going to love and serve our neighbors in Galveston.

2.           President Elect Obama, his family, and his Staff – pray for the leadership of our country.

3.           Hurricane Ike Rescue and Recovery Efforts

4.           Neighbor Nites – that we are used to help introduce people to Christ and help them on their spiritual journey.

5.           Our Church – that we stay focused to reaching and equipping people

6.           US & Allied Troop’s war on Terror – for their safety and their families here in the states.

7.           Our Community – for opportunities to serve and build relationships.
